HURREVAC Training

To support the transition from Hurrevac2000 to Hurrevac2010, the National Hurricane Program will host or sponsor various training opportunities from March- August, 2010.

Webinars

The National Hurricane Program is sponsoring 2010 HURREVAC Webinar Training. This training course will focus on the following objectives: identify what is HURREVAC, how to use HURREVAC to make evacuation and hurricane preparedness decisions, demonstrate upgraded functions of Hurrevac2010, and demonstrate ways to assess tropical cyclone data and forecasts. This training is for both new and advanced HURREVAC users.

Web Meeting Access

During the training you will be able to have questions answered by going to “Chat Box” and typing in your question. A trainer will answer your question in a timely manner.

*WEBINAR IS LIMITED TO 100 PARTICIPANTS PER SESSION

**YOU MUST HAVE THE WEB MEETING SOFTWARE INSTALLED AHEAD OF TIME. USACE employees have "Meeting Manager for Internet Explorer" already loaded on their computers. All others should visit the AT&T Teleconference Site and select "Download Meeting Manager". This will take approximately 20 minutes to download and install. You would want to do this the day before the training in case you have any problems. There is no charge for this application.

If you are NOT with the Army Corps of Engineers and are having trouble installing "Meeting Manager for Internet Explorer" you will need to contact your local IT support.

Please keep in mind on the day of the conference, you can login to the conference only 5 minutes before the start time. You cannot login before 5 minutes of the start time.
