HURREVAC Training

The National Hurricane Program (NHP) sponsors a number of training opportunities in various locations and formats.

2016 Webinars

This summer the National Hurricane Program will again be offering a 5-part webinar series to serve as a HURREVAC refresher course for the emergency management community. The training is structured to provide an overview of the new and existing features in HURREVAC.

The 5-part series will be held 2 times over the following dates:

Each day's webinar will start at 2 PM (Eastern Daylight Time) and last between 60 and 90 minutes.

Day 1- Intro to HURREVAC and general overview of program (July 11 or August 1)

What is it, how does it work, what do all the buttons do, etc.

ADVANCE REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED FOR EACH TOPIC but you may mix and match your dates of participation in certain topics from one session to the next. Also at the conclusion of each Session 1 topic, a recording will be made available on this page in case you have missed the live webinar or wish to review the material.

State/Local Classes

Many state emergency management agency (EMA) classrooms host day-long HURREVAC training in spring and early summer. Dozens of these courses are taught each year; at least one date per state is typically offered. If you are interested in attending one of these NHP-sponsored sessions in your area, contact your state EMA for dates and availability.
